A smart architecture was need to support shared code on multiple platforms (web, ios, android) as well as realtime data support.
The challenge
When COVID-19 struck, Salling Group had to pivot quickly to support the surge in demand for home grocery delivery. Føtex, one of the key brands, needed to develop a fast, scalable solution to manage the last-mile delivery of groceries from distribution centers to customers’ homes. With consumer expectations at an all-time high and limited time to market, the challenge was to build an end-to-end solution that could manage orders, deliveries, and customer interactions in a seamless and intuitive way across multiple platforms.
Our contribution
We partnered with Salling Group to rapidly design and develop a full-stack solution. Our team delivered a comprehensive backend architecture, along with web and mobile applications for both Android and iOS. By working in close collaboration, we ensured the solution could handle high traffic loads, integrate with existing systems, and provide customers with real-time delivery updates. The platform allowed Føtex to quickly launch their home delivery service, meeting the urgent needs of customers during a challenging period while setting the stage for long-term growth in the online grocery space.
